Our Gifted Program

The Jacobson Gifted Program is designed to challenge the Gifted Student through a multi-dimensional teaching approach involving special curricula, enrichment and the acceleration of course content.

Jacobson's English Language Development (ELD) program is designed to promote student success in school by providing instruction in the development of listening, speaking, vocabulary, reading, writing skills and grammar in the English language.

About Our School...

Jacobson Elementary is an excelling school with an "A" label from the Department of Education. Our school is successful because of our rich traditions for high expectations, incredible family involvement, and a safe, nurturing environment. We know our students cannot take risks without feeling valued, inspired and confident in their learning community. We are proud of our reputation as one of the leading schools in CUSD and a top 100 school in the state!

In addition, Jacobson offers a wide range of student opportunities such as Science Camp, Space Explorers Club, the JGP - Jacobson Gifted Program, Safety Leaders Patrol, Running Club, Drama Club, Spiritline for K-6 and Art Masterpiece for all students! Our veteran staff is committed to providing rigorous learning experiences with individualized, small group approaches to meet the needs of all our students.

Most importantly, Jacobson teachers and staff believe in collective efficacy. This is important ~ it means we understand the importance and need to work together, think together, make school-wide decisions together... to support our students collectively, as a school family. This shared belief system provides only the best for our young scholars.
